Kuang Si Waterfall, Luang Prabang Province.

This waterfall park is about 30km from Luang Prabang and is a pleasant getaway from the hussle and bussle of the busy town. The forest and waterfalls are most spectacular and some of the trees are massive!.

The photos just don't do it justice.

Water-milling about the riverside.

It's rainy season, the river was gushing and roaring down.

At the top of the trek the giant appeared. Mystifying the air and dominating the front.

Living in New Zealand I've seen a lot of raging waterfalls but this one is definitely on my top favourite waterfalls list. On the way back down, we couldn't resist a dip in. Cold refreshing water definitely earned by the steep muddy hike up here.

A good omen. This beautiful butterfly couldn't resist resting on my sneaker.
